Twilight in Pawtucket. Final Night at Centreville Bank Stadium.
The curtain falls on the home slate of Rhode Island FC’s 2025 campaign. It is Fan Appreciation Night, and there is no better way to celebrate than with a sellout crowd! After last Saturday’s wild, come-from-behind win over Las Vegas, the Tide are back above the playoff line with everything still to fight for.
Three games remain. The stakes could not be higher. The lights will be bright, the stands will be packed, and the Ocean State will roar one more time.
Where We Stand
Rhode Island FC enter the weekend eighth in the Eastern Conference, holding the final playoff spot with 34 points from a record of 9 wins, 11 losses, and 7 draws. The late 3-1 comeback in Las Vegas (later ruled a 3-0 forfeit win due to an ineligible Lights player, don’t even get me started) marked a massive momentum swing and RIFC’s first come-from-behind victory of the season. In their last two games, RIFC have scored five goals, nearly one-fifth of their total all season, as the attack has finally caught fire.
Noah Fuson and JJ Williams have found their rhythm, combining for goals in consecutive matches. Fuson’s pace and precision have opened up defenses, while Williams continues to show his power and poise up top. Behind them, Koke Vegas remains a calming force in goal, while the back line anchored by Karifa Yao has held firm under pressure.
A win on Saturday would push RIFC within touching distance of a second straight playoff berth and could eliminate Tampa Bay entirely. Lose, and the race tightens again.
Who We’re Facing
The Tampa Bay Rowdies arrive in Pawtucket clinging to life. The Rowdies enter the match in 10th place with 30 points from a record of 8 wins, 13 losses, and 6 draws. After a nightmare start to the season that saw them bottom of the table, the perennial playoff side has clawed back into contention with a five-match unbeaten streak. They have scored 15 goals in that stretch, the best in the league over that span.
The Rowdies will be without leading scorer Woobens Pacius (12 goals), who has joined the Haiti national team for World Cup qualifying. But veteran striker Manuel Arteaga has stepped up, scoring four times in his last four games. New arrival Paul Marie, on loan from the San Jose Earthquakes, has been electric since joining in August with three goals and three assists in just five appearances.
Tampa Bay’s defense has been shaky all year, with only two clean sheets and 42 goals allowed, but their 4-0 win last weekend over Monterey Bay suggests they are peaking at the right time. The Rowdies are four points behind RIFC and desperate for a result to stay alive.

Vibe Check
This is it. The final regular season home match. Time to make some noise and get wild! We’re standing right on the playoff line. We’ve fought to get here, but we’re not done fighting and climbing.
Fan Appreciation Night is more than a thank you to the supporters. It’s a salute to everyone who made this first season at Tidewater unforgettable. From the players on the pitch to the staff who built this place from the ground up, they’ve been under pressure these last few years to deliver this stadium, and they’ve delivered something truly special.
Before we close the chapter on regular season home play for 2025, let’s make the stands shake. Let our noise carry down the Seekonk, echoing to every corner of our mighty state. This is our house. Our forever home.
Together. On three.
